What is Hi-Tec's warranty policy, and how does it work?
Hi-Tec guarantees footwear against manufacturer's defects for 90 days from the date of purchase. Products are not warrantied against wear-and-tear. If you purchased your footwear from www.hi-tecstore.com, call Customer Service at 800-521-1698 for assistance. If you purchased your footwear from an Authorized Hi-Tec Dealer, return your boots with receipt to the dealer where you purchased them. All warranty replacements are contingent upon approval by Hi-Tec Sports USA. If a product is deemed not defective, it will be returned to the customer.

We understand that our customers may feel more comfortable purchasing their footwear in store rather than online. Find an authorized Hi-Tec dealer near you by visiting our U.S. Dealer Search and typing in your zip code.
How can I waterproof my boots?
The best way to protect your feet from the rain and other elements is to select a waterproof boot. However, should you wish to waterproof your non-waterproof boots, we recommend water-based sealants, since they do not break down glue or stitching, and they maintain the breathable nature of our footwear. Silicon-based products can cause delamination of glues and create a seal on your boots that can restrict breathability. Due to the risks associated with applying sealants to footwear, waterproofing your boots effectively voids Hi-Tec's warranty.
Why can't I find a specific style, size or product category on your website?
Here are the possible reasons for your difficulty locating a specific style of footwear on our website:
- The style is no longer produced.
- The style or category you are searching for is not available in our current season's product line. (e.g. Winter footwear may not be shown in our spring/summer product line).
- It is a special-make-up style that is sold exclusively by a specific retailer.
- The style or size is currently produced, but is temporarily out of stock.
- The style is being produced, but has not yet been selected as a style to be displayed on our website.
How do Unisex sizes work?
Though most of our styles are offered in men's- and women's-specific sizes, some select styles are offered in "Unisex" sizes. Your unisex size is the equivalent to your size in men's footwear. Women should subtract 2 sizes from their shoe size to determine their unisex size.
